World's first! Dongfang Electric commissions 700MW ultra-supercritical CFB boiler
On April 17th, the 700 MW high-efficiency ultra supercritical circulating fluidized bed generator set of Yunneng Honghe Power Plant successfully completed 168 hours of trial operation, marking the official commissioning of the world's first 700 MW ultra supercritical circulating fluidized bed boiler developed by Dongfang Electric, the vice chairman unit of China Electric Power Association.
After the completion of the unit, the total installed capacity of "one large and two small" Honghe Power Plant will reach 1300 megawatts, with an annual power generation of over 8 billion kilowatt hours. It will become the largest stable power supply support point in the southern Yunnan region, playing an important role in ensuring regional energy supply security, promoting local economic development, and social stability.
The project adopts three main equipment developed independently by Dongfang Electric: boiler, steam turbine, and generator. Among them, the boiler adopts the most advanced high-efficiency ultra supercritical circulating fluidized bed power generation technology, which has the characteristics of large single unit capacity, advanced power generation technology, high unit efficiency, and excellent comprehensive energy-saving and environmental benefits. It has overcome the challenges brought by high-altitude, high moisture, low calorific value brown coal.
